Lauren Bargas was born and raised in Medford, Oregon. She received her undergraduate degree from Cedarville University in Organizational Communication. She is a certified ACBC counselor and is currently writing her thesis for a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s University. She recently moved to Louisville from Los Angeles, where she met and married her husband, Pete. They are members at Third Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoys interior design, cooking, and helping people taste and see that the Lord is good and abundantly gracious.
Originally from Louisiana, Hannah received her MA in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010. Prior to pursuing her degree in counseling, Hannah served with the International Missions Board in Central Asia for nearly five years. She resides in Louisville, KY and is a member of Clifton Baptist Church. Hannah has been an ACBC certified counselor since 2010 and counsels women from her church and community in addition to her position at SBTS as Sr. Administrative Assistant to the Dean.
John has lived in the Louisville area for 23 years. He received his Aviation Management degree from Indiana State University in 1994. He works full-time at UPS as a Flight Dispatcher. He is married and has two grown children. He and his wife attend Ninth and O Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, serving in the Singles ministry. He came to know about Biblical Counseling through his own need in dealing with life issues. He completed the ACBC certification in 2015 and has been counseling on a regular basis since. He believes that God’s Word is sufficient in giving hope and answers to the struggles of the soul.
Dorsey and her husband, Michael are both native Louisvillians. Following completion of her undergraduate degree from The University of Georgia in 2009, Dorsey pursued equipping in biblical counseling at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2013 she completed her MA in Biblical Counseling and ACBC certification. Dorsey holds a degree in Public Relations and Art History from UGA in Athens, GA and previously worked for five years in marketing and communications at a healthcare company. In addition to counseling women from her community, Dorsey raises her two young children and is an editor for Gospel Taboo. She endeavors to help women think biblically about the struggles of real life, teaching them how to apply God’s Word for hope and help.
Tyson moved to Kentucky in 2006 with Debbie, his wife of 19 years. Tyson completed his ACBC certification process in 2009, and he has been gladly serving people in need of counseling and care ever since. Tyson served on his church’s staff with their soul care team until 2014. His duties included: counseling weekly, providing oversight for the roughly 25-30 regular counseling situations, caring for 55+ small group leader couples, and administrating their annual Counseling and Discipleship Training Conference. In 2015, Tyson answered God’s call to attend seminary in preparation for further pastoral ministry, and through Tyson’s relationship with Dr. Scott, has served with One-Eighty Counseling.
